The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, VE Schwab

The concept of eternal life. Our main character Addie meets a man and sparks fly.. though there is a problem, she knows that before the sun rises, he will forget her. And Addie has lived with this for 300 years. The gift to her is eternal life, but in trade, everyone forgets her. Then one day, somebody she met only once remembers her name. This book makes you realize, something I already was aware of from experience, that not getting your heart’s desire might be a good thing.
