The Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, Dave Eggers
A brutally honest memoir on his life – his folks slow death, having to raise his much younger brother. Leaving Chicago for San Francisco area…talking his buddies to come out. Very unique and original. My favorite part was his interview with a production assistant for becoming a part of the The Real World for MTV…. his way of trying to talk her into getting her to say yes to him as a cast member. Unfortunately, they denied him. An original voice – you laugh, you shake your head… cross streams of emotions. The bits are strong – smart and self-conscious without being cold.
