The Complete Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook, J. Piven

There are some essential scenarios in this book with animal encounters (how to survive a poisonous snake attack); great escapes (how to jump from a moving train); illness and injury (how to survive a rollover in a car or survive a plane crash), etc.  Though when they get into social disasters such as how to survive elevator silence, or carry a date home who is passed out, it begins to lose its luster. Domestic dangers and out and about sections are interesting, though mostly its just common sense. Then yet again, this is an area where many people have begun to lose just that.
