A CBS Sunday Morning correspondent, Conor wrangled a year contract with CBS to explore America’s National Parks. A local boy from WVA, he decided to visit every one of them. And why not, a broken engagement and a broken heart can make you want to disappear in nature and a consistent change of scenery. What this book provides is his informative dispatches as well as the life as he sees it on a road trip of a lifetime. A naked scrub in a bathhouse in Arkansas? Sure, why not? Heading out into the pitch black skies to see the stars and realize just how small we as humans are?  Sure.  Some threads tie together all of these Nat parks and wild places – that ties us to nature. It is our duty as humans to explore. The solitude of pitch black darkness, to lean back and ease into nothingness without fear. You know there is beauty all around you, even if you can’t see it. It’s interesting to see how his perspective changes over the years as he visits park after park. It can change anyone if you let it – and always in a good way.
