JFK JR, R. Terenzio

The latest book on JFK Jr, and the best. Why? Because it's an oral biography from his true friends who knew him through high school, college, business partners, etc. Never-before-told stories and memories from his closest friends and colleagues – that’s the best you can get after someone you want to read about has passed. A short, though remarkable life the book explores the what-ifs, ambition, family pressures, love, the very public relationships he had with women, the cultural and political possibilities of the future, the enduring friendships he had, his sense of humor, affable, his absent-mindedness, he could be naïve, loved attention, and he kind of attention he dealt with – always, everywhere – it was a way of life for him … everything… very insightful. His volatile relationship with his wife and how alone he felt at the end of his life. Her possible affair, the couples counseling… all everyday things we all deal with.. It’s the universal.

JFK JR was a moderate politically; open to ideas and suggestions; treated everyone, and I mean everyone, with respect. I kept going back to the what-ifs even though that’s a foolish thing to think about. He’s dead. JFK Jr. was ready to run for NY Governor when he died, and the presidency was in his future. He felt obligated to continue public service as his father did before him. JFK Jr. would have won in a landslide – my opinion. Through Terenzio’s (she was his executive assistant and closest confidant in the years leading up to his death) connections and research, this book is an intimate and illuminating exploration of the man.
